Friday, May 25th, 2007

This animal web cam comes to you live from San Francisco’s famous Pier 39. These sea lions started taking over the docks in January 1990 shortly after the 1989 earthquake. At first there were about 10 to 50 of them, but due to the abundent supply of fish and available dock space, the population grew to 300 in a few months.

In the winter, the population grows to around 900, most of which are male.

This video is in color with sound and requires Windows Media Player 9 or above available for download directly from Microsoft.

Manatees… Sea Cows… whatever you want to call these beloved creatures, we have an animal web cam for you to watch them live from the Dallas World Aquarium.

This is a moving image stream camera, so it isn’t as exciting as the other cameras…but beggars can’t be choosers! I have yet to find a streaming Manatee cam. Hopefully that will change soon. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.
