Grizzly Bear Cam at the Riverbanks Zoo

A new animal cam is up at the Riverbanks Zoo and Garden in Columbia, SC - this time their web cam lets you watch the Grizzly Bears that live there. This animal cam will feature a different animal in the future, so if sometime down the road you click on it and see a different animal, that is why.

This animal web cam is a streaming live and requires Windows Media Player available for download directly from Microsoft. It is viewable from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).

Alaska Grizzly Bear Cam

The National Geographic Grizzly Bear Cam is back!  Get ready for an awesome animal cam featuring Grizzly Bears feeding on salmon at McNeil River Falls, Alaska.  This awesome camera features live streaming video and sound and the view changes periodically to show the best grizzly bear action.  It is online from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m Alaska time.

This video feed is in color, with sound and requires the free RealPlayer to view.

This live streaming grizzly bear camera comes from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, WA. There are two twelve year old male grizzly bears. The two bears are brothers and you can see them from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm (Pacific Time). They have a pretty large living area, so if you don’t see them right away, be patient and they should come into view.

Live Polar Bear Camera at the San Diego Zoo

There are four polar bears to watch courtesy of the San Diego Zoo’s streaming web camera. There is Kalluck, the largest male bear of the bunch, born January, 2001. Next there is Tatqiq, the sister of Kalluck, also born in January, 2001. Then there is Chinook a female bear that may sometimes be brown (because she likes to roll in the dirt!). She was born on February, 1995. Finally there is Shikari the sister of Chinook, born on February, 1995 as well.

Grizzly Bear Cam at Grouse Mountain

The Grizzly Bear Cam comes to you from Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife.  This is a protected natural sanctuary where two grizzly bears named Grinder and Coola can live in a safe, natural environment.  You can watch one camera for free, or buy a premium package and watch five different animal cams.  All of the grizzly bear cams have streaming video.

National Geographic Polar Bear Cam

National Geographic has a new animal cam for you, this time featuring Polar Bears in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada.  This animal cam has live streaming video and is online live from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 EST.  They will replay the days footage when the camera is offline.

Sloth Bear Web Cam at the National Zoo

As part of the National Zoo’s “Asia Trail”, this exhibit features the Sloth Bear. Sloth Bears are native to India, Sri Lanka and Southern Nepal and are teh only bears to carry young on their backs.

This exhibit includes a male sloth bear that was born at the Zoo on January 9th. This animal web cam peeks into either the sloth bear yard or the indoor area.

Panda Camera at the National Zoo

There are three Giant Pandas and two web cams to watch at the National Zoo. Tian Tian, Mei Xiang and Tai Shan will entertain you with their never ending appetite for bamboo, playfulness and tree climbing just to name a few.

Tian Tian (t-YEN t-YEN), the male, was born on August 27, 1997. He has black “knee socks.” The black band across his shoulders narrows in the middle. And he has two black dots across the bridge of his nose.

Mei Xiang (may-SHONG), the female, was born on July 22, 1998. Her name means “beautiful fragrance.” In September 2005, she weighed about 235 pounds.

And the baby of the bunch is Tai Shan (tie-SHON) who was born early in the morning on July 9, 2005. He is Mei Xiang and Tian Tian’s first offspring.
