Pacific Loon Web Cam

I love it when I discover a good animal web cam…and here’s another one for you with streaming color video and sound. This one is at the nest of a Pacific Loon at Connors Lake in Anchorage, Alaska. The pair of Pacific Loons have recently returned and two eggs were laid - the first on May 17th and the second on May 20th. The eggs are expected to hatch during the week of June 11th.

Currently there are around twenty hours of daylight each day in Anchorage, so you will have plenty of time to view this web cam. Sunrise is at 4:32 AM and sunset at 11:26 PM.

This video feed is in color, with sound and requires the free RealPlayer to view.

My children have fallen in love with the little guy or gal what ever it may be. There all excited and cant wait to get home from school just to check in on the baby loon and his mommy. thanks for giveing us this rare experience to see inside the everyday life of a mommy loon while nesting with her babies.

We were just wondering why the two baby loons comes out like shadowy or ghostlike in the screen. Any ideas?

Sure is very enjoyable watching this. More power to you
